Hello again,
The exercise Journey On really helped me understand how to relax and be in a calmer state. After listening to this exercise I felt relieved and felt has if all the pressure that I had on me had been lifted off my shoulders. Also, I was able to listen to this exercise and actually picture what the audio was announcing. This exercise also allowed me to use muscle techniques to relax my muscles on a different level that I never felt before. I definitely recommend this exercise to anyone that wants to feel that relaxation that they may rarely experience in their life. This exercise allowed me to just stop the busy life that I have and realize that it is acceptable to sit even though I may have a million things to do. I hope everyone enjoys the exercise as much as I did.
Great response to the exercise! I took a stress management class last term and that sounds a lot like the exercises we used. Sometimes it is hard to realize that we need to slow down for a minute and just breath, life can be overwhelming at times and it is nice to remind ourselves that sitting still and just listening might be the best way to spend a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteGreat response to the exercise. I have yet to do it do to not reading properly. I think I will enjoy it. After reading what you wrote I think that this exercise will be very benefical to me. I like what you wrote about muscle techniques. I find that when I am really stressed out my muscles get very tight and I do not know how to release that tension. I am hoping to learn what you learned here. Sounds like this exercise was really helpful and can be applied in many professions and our personal lives. I want to go on do the exercise right now but I am at work. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Charles,
ReplyDeleteAs one who has a tendency to have tight shoulders, I can relate to your muscle relaxation experience. After the exercise, I felt as though a weight was lifted off of my shoulders; I felt free! Definitely a wonderful way to take time from our busy schedules and relax!
It sounds like you had a great experience with the relaxation exercise. It was during my stress management class last term that I learned how to trully relax and relieve the stress. I would have to say I come a long way with my deep breathing exercises and learning to take time out.
ReplyDeleteHello Charles:
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feedback on the relaxation therapy technique. I too, took the stress management class last semester and thank goodness I did because it really helped me to get through my classes, moving and the holidays. Even though it is extremely difficult to get a monment alone to do this exercise, I will do it because of what you had gotten out of it. I releieve my stress through exercise and talking with my members of my gym. That is what helps me to vent my anger and work with the current situations in my life.
Thanks again for your input..
Yours in health,
Andrea
